My Social Studies Reflection

1. Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year and why?

The chapter that I enjoyed the most in World History this year would have to be Chapter 9, which was Ancient Greece. I enjoyed this because it was almost exactly like Greek Mythology, which is my favorite part of History. I also enjoyed this chapter a lot because it featured some Greek Gods and Goddesses which are very interesting and fascinating to me. I loved this chapter and hope that others do to.

2. Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter. Is there a project that you completed that you enjoyed working on?

There were many things that I learned in this chapter. I learned a lot of things about the people from Ancient Greek cities and towns. I also learned some things about Greek Gods and Goddesses that I didn’t know about. There were not any projects that were to be completed in this chapter, though we did complete questions about a comic book that we read, which I really enjoyed.

3. What new skills have you learned throughout the year?

There were a lot of new skills that I learned throughout the year. One of these skills involved map skills and even technology skills. Some map skills that I learned were how to use keys in maps. This seemed somewhat boring and not useful to me, but after trying it out, I found that it was quite fun and interesting to me. The technology skills that I learned involved using the smart board in the classroom. Some things that we did were learning how to write on the smart board and use it in unique ways.

4. How can you apply this knowledge to the real world?

I can apply this knowledge to the real world in many ways. I can use the map skills that I learned for finding my way around as I get older. I can use the map key skills to find out how to get places and how far it will be. I can use technology skills in the real world by using them with my own technology. Mr. Cupples has taught us great things!!
